RULES CONCERNING AGILITY AWARDS

Annual Agility Awards will be offered for Novice, Open, Excellent A and Master Excellent B based on the following point system: (Points are cumulative and may include multiple dogs owned by the same person(s)):
- 1 point for Qualifying
- 2 points for Placing 2-4 or earning 1-5 MACH points in a regular Excellent B class
- 3 points for 1st place or earning 6 or more MACH points in a regular Excellent B class.
Where the awards and their restrictions are:
- Annual Novice Agility Award is awarded to the member's dog who earns the greatest number of points while qualifying for the NA, NAJ, NAP AND NJP titles. Only legs to qualify for these titles count toward this award and legs in A and B count equally.
- Annual Open Agility Award is awarded to the member who earns the greatest number of points while qualifying for the OA, OAJ, OAP AND OJP titles. Only legs to qualify for these titles count toward this award.
- Annual Agility Excellent A Award is awarded to the member who earns the greatest number of points while qualifying for the AX, AXJ, AXP, AJP titles. Only legs to qualify for these titles count toward this award,
- Annual Master Excellent B Agility Award is awarded to the member who earns the greatest number of points while qualifying in the Standard and or Jumpers and Regular and or Preferred Excellent B classes. All qualifying legs count in Master Excellent B (Standard and Jumpers with Weaves and Regular and Preferred) without restriction on whether these qualifying legs count toward any title.
- With the exception of Rules 3-7, those rules set forth concerning all Annual Awards apply equally in Obedience Awards. For the Annual Performance Awards, points only accrue to an individual dog rather than to multiple dogs owned by the same individual or individuals.
Each interested member must submit his/her own trial record in the form of an AKC Dog Report obtainable from the AKC web site for $8. The Performance Committee will verify the top five members results. Members can submit their results by email or those without Web access can pay the club $8 per dog to have their data available to the awards committee. These records must be submitted to the Chairman of the Performance Committee (Sil Sanders, 33101 44th Ave. NW, Stanwood, WA 98292 or Sil@WestiesNW.com) or th designated Annual Awards Chairperson.
